should i never see you

Should I never see you
I should never find my eyes free
as the breezes over oceans caress every wave,
I could not taste the white-capped days of my youth again.

Should you never speak my name
my heart would forget the songs I've heard
as sunrise becomes night's silent end.

Yet should my arms grow cold
and my breasts sleep the years away
I would ever call you by moonlight when dreams dance
and my soul remembers the glory of briefly touching yours.
