Impatience

an Impatience waits at the bottom
of a very patient fall
a fall so patient it does not react
when ripcords fail
a fall so reasonable
perfect
that all who squint are certain it is practiced
an accomplishment refined,
inconceivable there is no trick
no artful maneuver to come.



this Impatience waits below
immediately dense
like fog
obscuring the ground.
