The Complete Works of Sugarpie Rabbit, from 13 February 2007


Author's Preface

Gorillas in the Midst is, quite simply, the Complete Works epoch that contains everything written after 12 February 2007, when my lifelong yellow brick road appeared to have already come to a halt but —to my suprise, about a month later— my writing continued.

With no discernable brick for me to step upon next, there existed no directionality to my path that can be summarized for you here although, for my own unarticulated purposes, I could clearly see at each precise moment where I must place my foot and what I must do once in place. (For descriptive purposes, I really need some sort of distance from which to assess where I am, how I came to be in that place, and where I am likely to go next. At the inception of Gorillas I was proceeding rather like a leaf riding the rapids, who in the bewilderment of such propulsion had little to say. Distance is always a relative thing.)

Maybe some day this epoch will contain enough pieces to warrant more substance in this description? If so, at that time this webpage will be revised, as I am already amassing unarticulated content.
