end of a spring:
The Complete Works of Sugarpie Rabbit, 1966 through 1970
Author's Preface
end of spring represents the first four and a half years of my writing (1966-1970), ending on the eve of my twentieth birthday. At least ninety-five percent of its contents were dictated to me by my Muse. (For a detailed description of the sudden and very odd onset of this phenomenon which literally taught me how to write, see
Author's Afterward
in the collection
Idiot Wind
.)
end of a spring is named after its piece, written when I was fifteen years old, which most blatantly illustrates the vision and writer's voice belonging to my Muse at the time of our first collaboration.
