Author's Preface

blood begins with the first surviving writing that follows end of a spring (1966-1970), and ends after Spring 1984 (see Author's Preface, black hole ).


When I realized that an unrecognized epoch belonged in this span, and reviewed my work with that in mind, I selected the piece blood —from which this epoch takes its name— as the best summary of my spiritual observations from my twentieth birthday until my mid-thirties and the momentous event which began the next eopch and shaped the rest of my life.
