Elroy Lions Apple Dumpling Day Races

Sept. 11--8 am--Elroy City Park (Schultz Park)--Hwy 80-82 south--Elroy, WI

Elroy is the center of three abandoned railroad beds that have all been converted to bike trails. These three trails are the Juneau County Omaha Trail, the Elroy-Sparta Trail, and the 400 Trail. The trails provide a great running surface, a nice amount of shade, and fantastic scenery for the runners. All runners will receive a race T-shirt, a free apple-dumpling, medals for the top finishers, as well as refreshments - fruit, water, sports drink, soda - at the end of the race.


Hill Country Trail & River Challenge

Sept. 11--9 am--starts Gazebo in Field Veterans Memorial Park--Hwy 80/82/33 Water Ave--Hillsboro-Wonewoc-Elroy, Wisconsin

Run 5 miles from Hillsboro to Union Center, paddle a canoe 6 miles down the Baraboo river , then Bike 8 miles on the 400 State Bike Trail. Then, enjoy all the events going on in Elroy at Apple Dumpling Day.

10th Annual Crane and Wildlife Fest

Come join the fun at the Whooping Crane Festival in Necedah, Wisconsin. Take a narrated tour of the Necedah Wildlife Refuge…get a look at the endangered birds and see what is being done to protect them. Enjoy the many exhibitors and crafters. There will be plenty of food & entertainment, including live music!
