Treasures of Wisconsin Hills
The hill country of Western Wisconsin is not known for great stores of oil reserves or fantastic diamond or gold mines. Here our treasures are more sublte, but no less real. There is the lore of our history and the legends of the land. There is the beauty that changes with every season and the power of things which can be missed in a 'hurry-up' world. We share but glimpses of just a few of our local treasures, knowing that what we capture will change even as we hold it.
A hillside in 'full' fall in Monroe County.
A tree afire in golden spendor.
Ancient rock bluff that once was the sandy bottom of a primordial sea.
Sunset colors over grassy-field upon autumn foliage.
Fall wild-flowers before the hard frost.
