Spring is Beginning!
It has been a long winter in Wisconsin. And Spring seems slow to come. Maybe we all have been 'spoiled' a little by the last several years relatively mild winters...but people are ready for Spring even if Spring isn't quite ready for us. Cheer up! The days are lengthening. Slowly the snow and ice begin to recede.
And the land emerges from under the cold, white blanket of winter to greet the growing light and heat of Spring!
The snow melting fills the streams and rivers. We begin to hear the sounds of water moving under the ice and gurlging over rocks and stone. Spring is beginning!
Every bit of new green life is met with welcome and a hope. Slowly, slowly Spring begins.
Each new budding reminds us that soon, soon Spring will be back with us once again.

(and don't get discouraged when the last snows fall. The old-timers tell us that it "snows three times on a Robin's tail before Spring is really here.")
