Reading the Bible I sometimes see
Lines that seem written just for me
But they were scribed on scrolls long ago
For other people. This I know,
Yet it appears a little bit strange
That human nature doesnt change.
Hasnt the Holy Word of our God
Given me any helpful prod
To become more than flesh and its ills?
Am I ignoring what He wills?
Am I reluctant to be a part
Of His great universal heart?
Please take this doubt which troubles my mind;
Then from Your Book new threads unwind
Weaving a pattern older than men,
Teaching me how to live, again!

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us full of grace and truth." John 1:14 So that we may have a more abundant life. God make it so if it be your will.
