FACTS AND IMPRESSIONS

It is such a simple biblical incident. "Now among those who went up to worship at the festival were some Greeks. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, ‘Sir, we wish to see Jesus.’" John 12:20-21

WE WISH TO SEE JESUS. This is the clarion call to the church. To make clear the One who made God known in His fullness. John 1:18 The One who lifted up previous stereotypes and demonstrated and proved, with the totality of His life, God.

The One who wants all men in fellowship with him, and once in fellowship with Him, to go out and love one another as He did love us. John 13:34

For those of us who dare to seek to speak in His name, this is the everlasting challenge, to help us all see Jesus. And speaking in His name includes not only those who do in behind a pulpit or otherwise in front of a congregation with or without Bible in hand but those who walk as Christians into all the avenues of modern life.

We are dedicated, however imperfectly, to this task at First Baptist.
